Sunrise, your posts have brought sunshine to my day.Thank you so much for being such a good and true friend to all of us.

Sunrise, so good to see your post. You have been in my thoughts and so pleased to see your good news. You have really been through some rough times and hope that the road ahead will be bright both for you and your husband.

Thank you for taking the time to update.
Even more, thank you for your persistence in seeking out clinical trials and new treatments. I feel sure that at some point in the future, the child of someone on this board will benefit from treatment that was advanced by information from one of your trials. Maybe a cure for that future patient, maybe just the information that will tell her doctor that a particular treatment isn’t going to do anything and to move on to the next option.
Without people willing to do trials in the past, many of us would not be survivors today.

Sunrise, how wonderful to sign on tonight and see your post! I hope that your DH can be as comfortable as possible and that you continue to get good numbers from your current trial.

Enjoy at least part of every day- especially the good ones. Thanks so much for sharing.

It’s so good to hear from you sunrise and very encouraging to hear your good news. I hope things get easier for you and for your husband.

There is a gorgeous sunrise today in MN. It is the kind of sunrise that makes even the derivatives traders at my office get up out of their chairs and go to the window and admire the view. How appropriate to read your amazing post after appreciating a beautiful fresh view here. All the best to you and your family!

Thank you once again for posting your good news. I hope you know that by sharing this saga you are enriching our lives. Your challenges put our petty problems in perspective and the remarkable way you face adversity with grace and optimism provides a model that will serve each of us well at some time in our lives.

Perhaps I already said this but I like to think of you, sunrise, as one of those blow up clowns weighted with sand at the bottom. Your illness smacks you down but you pop back up every single time.

So glad to hear from you and especially glad that you are taking great care of yourself while you go through the current regime and and continue to recover from major surgery. I hope you feel better and stronger every day. Wishing you and your H the best.

Sunrise, I could just give you a kiss at the moment! Terrific news regarding your options and numbers.

Sunrise, thank you so much for taking the time and energy to update us. You are an amazing woman and I am so appreciative of all that you have shared with us.

I, too, am battling ovarian cancer and have been inspired by you to make the best of each and every day. A positive attitude makes a difference.

I’m sorry that you are also dealing with the worry about your husband and his illness. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Sunrise- I was so happy to see your long post. Thank you for taking your time to let us know how you are doing. I was thrilled to read your markers have improved and were moving in the right direction. It was incredible news. We have a friend who had a double lung transplant three months ago and is doing really well. There is true hope for your dear husband as well. Take care, Sunrise!

Sunriseeast, thinking of you and your family now. Stay safe and hope that all are well with you.

Sunriseeast: How wonderful to hear your strong voice, along with all your reflections on the people (close friends, family, physicians) who made a difference in your treatment. I had been away staying with my college roommate who is in pain (not cancer) but she is not well. Your resilience is definitely grounded in good clean living principles but more than that, you are lucky in your emotional breadth and in your lucidity of mind. So happy you are more at ease. May your husband also find the door opening for him regarding caring and talented people in medicine. I did find your writing about how you lived simply and below your means for many chapters of your working life…to be very good advice, since the time has arrived where the extra help in commuting and caring for your home truly matters.
Please keep posting. You are such a good writer. From a Virginia reader

Sunrise,
hoping that this monster storm does not cause you and your sweet husband problems.

Stay safe and stay strong.

Like so many others, I treasure your posts, and I hope you will be able to let us know that you and H made it safely through the storm.

Good morning, sunrise. I hope you’re warm and dry in the storm’s aftermath. We’re thinking of you.

Hi Sunrise- Wishes for a good day for the entire Sunrise family!

sunrise,
I hope the power has been restored and that you and DH are doing well. IIRC, this was an off week for chemo, so hopefully, no issues with having to get into the city??

Havehope98; so sorry that you are going through the same thing as Sunrise; best wishes

Sunrise -
Knocking on wood that you and your husband are doing OK.
