^^^
How many times have you stood and waited for your child to come home and your imagination is running wild if they are a second late? That awful feeling and then the relief when they show up or call. It’s truly a parents worst nightmare and that it happened to this family just breaks my heart for them.

Interesting update:

[Paper: Lawyer for accused killer of NY boy quits - US news - Crime & courts - msnbc.com](http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43854595/ns/us_news-crime_and_courts/)

The press is now reporting that children’s clothing, not related to this murder, was found in the suspect’s home and are investigating whether or not he could have committed other murders.

Well, I Hope they find out that those clothes belong to his stepchild or something. I won’t be surprised, however if they don’t. These kind of crimes don’t generally happen in a vacuum.

The authorities have been somewhat puzzled about this case because it does not fit the usual scenarios. There are not that many young children who have disappeared, so it is not so difficult to check out if he might have been around any such unsolved cases. They have not found anything. I imagine they have spoken with former step kids and any other children with whom he was in contact.

I did read about the attorney quitting the case, and I am appalled. That he resigned the case is his business, but he should have kept his mouth shut about it. As open and shut as this case is in terms of the suspect doing it, he must have a fair trial and good representation.
