xleper…I too am really grateful for CC because it gave me a second chance. Everyone frowns upon them, but they really do provide a huge stepping stone for students who were not eligible after h.s. Those rejections you got are blessings in disguise because now you are able to transfer to a better school instead of settling for Riverside. (No offense to the Riverside kids) :)

KitKat makes a good point. I think that we all mature at different paces. Some high schoolers are ready to jump into 4 year work. Some of us, however, have to get all of our serious partying out of the way beforehand. All that really matters is that we finish… God that was a bit “Tony Robbins”. But I WILL NOT ask for a group hug!

xleper- you couldn’t get into MERCED with a 3.3 and 2100 SAT? i was under the impression they accept just about everyone that applies…and even some who don’t apply haha

but yeah, i guess i’m sort of in the same boat with the OP…i’m a junior in high school and i’m very eager to start CC this summer and through my senior year before i graduate and enroll full-time…i think above all, i just want that fresh start to begin with

Freaking hell! I was half tempted to apply there for transfer, just to reject them. I swear to God… Merced. 2000 SAT’s got my friend with a 3.4 into Davis! I should of applied to Davis. I don’t even remember why I didn’t apply to Davis.

well at least you’re going to a much better place than you would’ve imagined when applying for colleges your senior year…you’re going to UCLA this fall, right?
