Your work ethic is just admirable. I have found
your thread to be really interesting so far, and yes, I DO think you are for real.
Keep up the great work. I am also an idealist. It is just procrastination that stands in my way at times… How do you manage procrastination (if you procrastinate)?

@ketone: An 800 was the 97th percentile for my test. It’s not an easy test to ace.

Yes, IceQube is overdoing it. I used Barron’s, Cliff’s (during the year for AP Bio), and the one official CB test and got an 800 comfortably. But if he wants to kill himself for this test, that’s his prerogative.

800 is supposed to be 98-99th percentile. You usually have to get no more than 2 wrong. June test-takers were lucky - I think the curve may have been as high as 3-4 problems.

Glad to see all the interest. I was gone for a while because school started, and I have to take 20 hours out of each week for band practice … so … yeah … and on top of that I have college apps, etc.

I’m expanding my journey to include Math II and quite possibly Lit. We’ll see about Lit after I take a practice test shortly. If I do horribly then I’ll just live with my 710 in Lit. If I do well, and I feel that I have a shot at an 800, then I’ll start studying Lit concurrently with Math II and Bio.

So far:

✔ Completed 5 Math II tests. Scores: 760 (Official), ~650 (Barron’s), ~650 (PR), 660 (Barron’s), 800 (Official). I think I’m set for Math II. I just have to review 3D planar geometry and conics.

✔ Finished drafting my SAT II Bio book. Will be hitting shelves by Fall 2013.

Still to do:

✔ Take Lit practice test.

✔ More Math II drill.

✔ Start reviewing Bio again (I haven’t touched it since I finished drafting my book).

The less time one has, the more motivated one tends to be. :)

Of course not I’m not getting published. Why do you even ask? I mean, your question already betrays your incredulity. You are very prescient, aren’t you?

I don’t mean to be rude, but the way you wrote “will be hitting shelves in Fall 2013” kind of made it sound like you’re getting published. There’s no need to be so harsh; if people like StudiousMaximus make fun the way you study, don’t mind it! They don’t even know you. Anyways, good luck on everything! :)

Also, for those of you who have chosen to make fun of this kid: he purposely titled this thread “My SAT II BIO Journey”, so just read it and move on.

Also if IceQube studies with such tenacity for the SAT II Bio exam he will also be well prepared for the AP Bio exam which I heard will be easier starting in May 2013. So along with additional studying for the AP exam, he may be killing two birds with one stone!

@honana: I do know him. At least better than most (probably all) of the people in this thread. I’ve seen and talked to him in a group chat (in person). And delightfully, he decided not to wear a shirt.

Anyway, the negative posts in this thread are not meant to be mean–they’re meant to save Qube from undue stress and work. If you’re upset because we’re trying to help him and happen to disagree with his unnecessary methods, then you’re just being inflexible.

Great. I’m sick and half my weekend has elapsed, and I haven’t done anything. There is no way I can miss either Monday or Tuesday of next week as I have major things due on both days. I have major papers due, a group presentation, and I have to sub for my Bio teacher for a class period. Finding a sub for a sub - that’ll be something new.

So much for SAT Bio review. I’ll be struggling just to get homework done this weekend. Only 2 more weekends until the big day!

Soooo, have you done any bio tests yet ? How much did you score ?
I get between 55-65/80
And I’ve discovered that Barrons is missing lots of info about viruses in particular.
