I wasn’t here yet to have heard your son’s story. All the same, Big Congrats!
Congratulations!!! So glad to hear this news.
Thanks for the update. What a wonderful way to start my morning!
Congrats on this epic achievement! What a day for your family!
@missypie , congratulations to your son! It’s very encouraging to read that success is possible for a kid on the spectrum, even if it takes longer to get there.
@missypie This is wonderful news…wonderful, wonderful news! Congrats to all. I can almost hear (and feel) your huge exhale upon hearing he was finished. Good job mom!
What an awesome story! Congrats to you both.
Congratulations to all of you! That’s such wonderfully encouraging news.
Congratulations! Facing similar daunting job search prospects with DD and someone suggested she visit a career counselor. I was unfamiliar with this service, but in researching a few of them it looks like a great option. They do interest and aptitude assessments, help craft the resume and online profiles. Many also keep tabs on current job openings and help get the ball rolling. I like to think of the Tortise and the Hare, better late than never.
Congratulations to the whole family!
Happy dance time!!
Congratulations to the whole family! What wonderful news.
Oh, @missypie ! Such wonderful news. I’m sure your know how much I can identify!!! And I remember when I got to make the happy post, you came on and said you hoped you could some day! And now you have!
Congratulations! I am so happy for you and your S!
Congratulations to your Son. And pat on the back to you for sticking with him.
Most uplifting post I’ve read in awhile. Thanks for showing us the power of support and the gift of time.
Congratulations! And thanks for giving me hope
This is wonderful and encouraging news! I have been following your story for awhile because I also have a child on the spectrum. My daughter will be starting her sophomore year at UCLA next month and her first year was mostly successful academically, but very rocky emotionally. In fact, she became depressed about halfway through the year and has been spending the summer just trying to get back on an even keel. It may not end up being a straight path for her either. Like you said, being the safety net is exhausting, especially when your child doesn’t really have anyone else for that support. It’s been rough, but I’m trying to hang in there right along with her, hoping that she’ll make it through eventually!
Congratulations to your son! That’s persistence!
That is terrific! Congratulations to your son and all of you!
How incredibly uplifting!! I’ve been here a long time and followed your journey. I am so thrilled for you and your son. Congratulations Missypie!!!
