<p>Wiggle, you are right about many colleges having active clubs for different sports. Some of them can get expensive. I have to confess that one of the best things for me since participating in a college athletic program as opposed to club or even back in high school on high school teams is not having to pay for anything, or having to do fund raisers for the team such as selling junk (candles, cookie dough, magazines, etc.), washing cars, selling ads, working concession-stand and all sorts of other things, including digging into my own pocket or my parents. It is nice having the college pickup the whole tab for a change!</p>
