<p>hmm based on previous threads…not many NATIONAL awards for MIT folks…very few percentage…</p>
<p>…I mean I’m applying EA and I don’t have any national research/science awards…but I do have a national dance competiton award, which is one of my passions in life.</p>
<p>If I’m not mistaken, MIT looks for passion in your activities and well if your passion shines through in your app…and your grades are fairly adequate (note: adequate does not mean 1600 or 3*800 or 4.0 GPA) I think you have a good shot at accept or defer. </p>
<p>If you have a 1600 and you are a lamo and all you do is study for your damn AP exams and have no life…you WILL most probably get rejected…but hey I could be wrong…so don’t take my word :)</p>
