Personally, I think it’s a waste of time. I’ve gotten an invite every year (senior with a 3.89), and every year I’ve ignored it. Well this year I actually filled out and turned in the application, but that’s as far as it went.

As a freshman, I decided to take on French Club (and French as a language), and have been it in ever since. Last year I was the President.

To me, and like a lot of people have said, it just sounds like one of those “elitist” organizations, dedicated to helping padding a college app. But you don’t need it.

I’ve done 170 hours of community service by myself, and let me tell you. Those hours were probably more fun and more rewarding than any NHS “number crunching” volunteer activity probably has ever been.

As long as you have the grades, the ambition, and the motivation to work hard, you don’t need this bs lol.
