That is so great…I’ll see you at R day…won’t know who you are, but will see you, nonetheless!

Caitmarie (waiting, offered AOG scholarship)

ben448 (waiting)

Rotckid59(waiting), accepted AOG scholarship

AMS101 (waiting)

Got rejected today. Possibility of an AOG offer in the next week or two. Need to decide if I would take that or a 4 year scholarship with a top notch arotc unit.

ben448/ Unless you really want “West Point,” ROTC is another great option to become an Army Officer.

Good luck everyone~~~

ben448, sorry. Hopefully you can get an AOG scholarship. Also, you can do the ROTC route and still reapply next year. Plus West Point looks more kindly at those who reapply. Who knows maybe we will see each other in USMA class '13. Good luck in which ever route you choose!

Ben,

Sorry about the rejection. Looks like the AROTC opportunity is a terrific one for you. And civil prep just might be a route to pursue. Good luck no matter what you decide.

So, in the past 2 weeks has anybody heard of any movement off the NWL?

Crossing my fingers for your son, MOT.

Thanks, KateLewis! Great to see you here!!

No QNS (qualified not selected) letter yet

momoftwins, I am keeping the faith you son will hear good news soon…plus I think it does not hurt to keep all toes, fingers, legs, arms, and eyes crossed for good luck!
;)

I got an email from my USMA advisor this week and he stated the following:

" All,

If you are receiving this message you have accepted an Association of Graduates scholarship to either Marion Military, New Mexico Military, Georgia Military, or Valley Forge. I am writing you this email to let you know that the waiting list for direct entry in to USMA this year for the class of 2012 is officially closed. There is still a VERY small chance that one or more offers from the wait list will go out, but please consider this email official notification that you will not receive an offer for the class of 2012. We typically send candidate a letter that explains this not later than about 15 May, but we do not send that letter to candidates like yourself who have accepted a Civil Prep offer. If you have any questions, please let me know. If any thing changes in regards to the wait list, I’ll let you know.

Hope this lets you know how things stand at this point… I’m off to MMI in August and I am looking forward to having a year to get older, stronger, and more competitive for the Class of 2013!

Rotckid,

Congrats to you!! You have been offered an outstanding opportunity.

Congratulations ROTCkid59!

Congrads. Im going to MMI for AOG too.

Qualified, Not Selected

= ( Very sorry to hear that. Will your kiddo try for 2013?

MOT, I’m sorry to see he wasn’t selected this year. :(

momoftwins,
.

Sorry to hear the news MOT. I know you son has a great backup plan and I wish him everything of the best!

Thanks to everybody for the good wishes, pm’s and support. Yes, it was disappointing news for him, but he learned a lot about himself through the process. And he’s going to a school he absolutely loves. He also knows that it was an extremely competitive year at so many colleges, including USMA.

As for 2013, he has always said he’d reapply. We’ll see. Anyway, it’ll be much easier to come up for a class motto for 2013 rather than 2012. ;)

I truly wish all the best to everyone in the class of 2012 and of course, the parents. You’re about to embark on an incredible journey. I never imagined how much I would learn and experience during this time. I’m looking forward to hearing all your R-Day stories.
