Native American Fly in Program

I went on the fly-in program last fall. I’m not sure how competitive it is, but I know people that didn’t make it into the program that applied to Dartmouth and are now students there. There were about 50 of us in October '08. I believe there was another section in June '08, but I don’t know how many were in that one.
I think that they mail prospective Native students information about the program – that’s how I found out/applied. I’m just making a guess here, but I think that everyone that selected “American Indian” as their ethnicity on a College Board test that was sent to the school may have been contacted?
As for the stats… yes, Dartmouth loves Native Americans. One of the goals of the college is to educate Natives, so it’s in your favor.

Anarchy Bunny, great link! I don’t remember the name “Dartmouth Bound”, but this is definitely the same program. The deadline’s tomorrow, but if you call Admissions and ask for an extension of a couple days… just fill it out and fax it in. I think there’s a peer rec part of it, but that may have changed.
