Navy Wins!!!!

Hey, it was even more fun two years ago! During the renovation “they” had managed to loosely reconnect a water pipe in the ceiling without much more than tension and eventually, well, the inevitable happened! Flooding on the fifth deck!

Needless to say a) gravity works and b) the trickle down theory does too! Garbage cans were pressed into service and a few days later were still in use under the main leak. Hence, there was, one morning, a large garbage can serving as a drip pan in our son’s room when an upperclassman came in to roust the plebes. He charged in the door, and, seeing the ungainly waste receptacle in the middle of the floor he began “training” the plebes by yelling and kicking at the offending can. Unfortunately, the kick connected. Much to the amusement of the plebes, the can tilted dangerously away from the upperclassman and then (yes, remember, gravity works) corrected itself, or, rather, overcorrected itself, and unburdened itself all over the now gasping mid. Good stuff. Unless you have to clean it up. But they said it was well worth the time they spent mopping up to have the rare plebe joy of seeing something so delightful happen to your tormentors.

Good stuff! :)
