NCAA Thinking About Profound Changes

If the P5 conference football schools keep working toward playing only other P5 schools in conference and out of conference (+ Notre Dame), how long will it be before non P5 colleges demand anti-trust action by feds? The non P5 colleges should tell the P5 schools they won’t schedule them in basketball if the P5 schools won’t play them in football.

I read the story about UNC. Thanks GMT.

The system as it presently exists is certainly corrupt, even at the hallowed halls of places like UNC-Chapel Hill. Years ago 60 Minutes interviewed football alumni from Berkeley and they sadly admitted how near-illiterate some of there teammates were. Maybe this new NCAA proposals is a step in the right direction that will lead to a division between the schools who want to bask in the light of the big time sports industry, and the schools who want to provide an education to their athletes.

I can see that now.
