Need advice on schedule for kelley standard admit.

M118 and E201 in the same semester (especially your first semester at IU) will be difficult. I will argue and say M118 and E201 will probably be the hardest of your prerequisites for Kelley. You should try and take M119 over M118 your first year and replace E201 with C104 or K201 this semester.

If you take K201 this semester, make sure you go to every class and keep up with the work. Very very easy to fall behind in that class.

C104 is pretty easy to get a B or higher in if you put in a genuine effort. The class will be more time consuming than you think but overall its not too bad. I suggest taking A100 the first 8 weeks so you will have the time needed for the final presentations.

If you stick with M118 this semester, just know it is known for being difficult. With that being said, my best advice would be to do as many practice test and practice problems as possible. Go to office hours as well whenever you can. Here are the grade distributions for you to see how students have done in this course in prior semesters.

http://gradedistribution.registrar.indiana.edu/gradedist.php?dept=MATH&subject=&crse=118&clsnbr=&instrname=&report_selection=gradedist&search_process=go

The grade distributions for M119 are only slightly higher because many incoming students who score high on the math placement exam end up taking M211 which is a step up from M119 in terms of difficulty.
