Wellesley women are just bomb.

Haha but seriously, I was just relating what I had been told. You can read about some of the stereotypes other colleges have of Wellesley, but I would say “powerful” is another good word to add to the list.

Intelligent
Confident
Independent
Ambitious
Powerful
Dayum sexy <–(okay, so maybe my bias is interfering)

As for the counselors, don’t worry about whether you don’t have a “personal” relationship with your counselor or “head” of the school. Colleges ask for the size of each school (mine was over 600) and realize that from those numbers it’s not possible for the counselors to know each candidate.

Still, there are measures you can take to improve your situation. Drop by the office more, ask “questions” and you’ll get to know your counselor/etc person that way. When giving the counselor materials to write your rec, give them some info to work with (like your interests/goals). Most counselors are there just to offer the statistics on the school you attend, anyway. I had my IB Coordinator write my rec, since he was also my history teacher, so you might have other options.
