The handiman in this household prefers to choose his own tools. I would never buy them myself.

My husband hands out business cards…and my 20 something just made new ones to hand out. This is not uncommon!

Thank you all for the suggestions - keep more coming! The things I am looking for are more like the Joby light or the rolling shop seat, not power tools. The handyman is all set when it comes to power tools. :)

Another hubby idea – laser level.

These are nice.

I once saw duct tape band aids (I think at Ace Hardware). I was sorry I didn’t buy any… they would have given us all a good laugh.

Those band aids would make a great stocking stuffer for D2’s fiance! Thanks!

What about gloves that can me used when doing handywork outside?

If he is into wood-working at all or just needs good hand tools-- [Lee Valley Tools - Woodworking Tools, Gardening Tools, Hardware](http://www.leevalley.com/us/?c=2) . This catalog makes my husband drool.

And their Christmas Gift catalog has a lot of really good ideas for other people in you life. The Kolsch beer glasses are a great deal.

I was coming in to sugget a laser level too!

I want a Dremel. The kit for fine detail work.

Plenty of our money has been spent at Rockler. There’s always some new gadget that H must have. I think Woodcraft is the other store he likes. Also some bigger things at Jet.
I’ve bought him cushioned floor mats, an a-frame tool holder
[Pack Rack® Clamp & Tool Storage System with FREE Tool Apron ($31.99 Value!) - Rockler Woodworking Tools](http://www.rockler.com/pack-rack-clamp-rack-with-free-pack-rack-tool-apron)
amongst other things. He’s fussy because the garage doesn’t have a lot of extra space, and everything has to fit just so. If I don’t have a good list or something doesn’t jump out at me, I’ll buy some little gadget (micrometer, work light, long straight edge, etc. and package it with a gift card.

I would buy an amazon gift certificate and print it out on the home printer. I did this couple times for my organization volunteers and they really appreciated.

Thank you all!
Laser levels are a good idea. This one looks great:

This would be very helpful for their upcoming kitchen remodeling projects.

(Of course, CC cookies are way too smart! I now keep getting ads for tools, and just got an ad for a gadget that would knock Mr B’s socks off: [Virt VT02](<a href=“Power Analyzers: Power Quality Analysis and Measurement | Fluke”>Power Analyzers: Power Quality Analysis and Measurement | Fluke) LOL.)

That is one neat tool.

Who needs a laser level when there are iPhone apps that are levels?
