<p>granted, I am biased towards Stanford… but if you are worried about quality of life, think about this: my dorm was sunbathing in January. I don’t think MIT can say the same. We have plenty of science-oriented people (known as techies) too. There’s an opportunity for you to do pretty much anything and everything you have time for. I feel like Stanford is kind of unique in that we have a lot of the ‘big school’ things - D1 football and other sports, world-famous (infamous?) band, and lots of spirit - but at the same time we’re one of the top universities (in every dept.) nationwide. I can’t imagine myself anywhere else. </p>
