She already did, if you bothered to read the posts instead of just post a snarky retort.

NYMomof2, when you get your wine glasses, can tell us how you like them? I am thinking of buying the same and the price on the Wasserstrom website sounds too good to be true.

blankmind, I will let you know. They are supposed to arrive quickly. They are also sometimes sold on Ebay for even lower prices. If you search under “Stolzle classic” you will see a few listings come up. If you seach completed listing, you will find that boxes of 6 have gone for $9.99! I bid on a Dutch auction for two boxes of 6 red wine glasses in this line (a slightly different size from the Bordeaux glasses that were my first choice), because they could have been gotten so cheaply. As it was, I lost the auction to two people who bid higher, and they went for something like $15.99 each (for 6). The Bordeaux glasses I want are there now, but the auction doesn’t close until later this week, and I really need the glasses by Christmas. So I went ahead with the Wassterstrom order.

Thanks, NYMomof2. I’m deciding between the Stolzle and Spiegelau. I’ve been able to find the Spiegelau in a store, so I know what they are like, but I haven’t been able to find the Stolzle anywhere. I wish I could see them in person, to see how they look & feel, so I’d be interested in what you think of them.

blankmind, the glasses arrived quickly. I bought the white wine glasses and the large Bordeaux glasses. They look quite nice, very simple. The Bordeaux glasses are very large - I know they’re supposed to be large - and it was a little startling. We don’t drink huge quantities of wine so I guess you just fill a small portion of them. In retrospect, I probably should have gotten the red wine glasses instead - they’re somewhat smaller. The Bordeaux glasses feel kind of light to me, but the white wine glasses feel more substantial. I have been impressed with how sturdy they are. I managed to drop a box of 6 when unpacking them, and I was sure some would be broken, but they survived. I’ve put them through the dishwasher, knocked them against each other and against the stainless steel sink (I am really clumsy, I guess) and they have not broken or chipped. I am very happy with them, especially for less than $5/glass!
