OP, are you expecting your family’s financial situation to remain the same for all four years? Income, marital status, number of kids in college, etc?
I’m positive that my family’s financial situation will remain the same for all four years. I will probably work during the summer to pay the remaining costs and my parents can cover some of the costs.
A parent can borrow up,to the cost of attendance. A student would need a cosigner to do so.
OP ^^They are talking about the Parent Plus loan. You have a gap of $6,000 or so. Your parents can borrow that with a Parent Plus. You will have to pay that back on top of the $5500 you are already borrowing. You should be able to earn $3500-$5000 this summer. Try applying for jobs in March. For the work study I think most of the jobs pay $8/hour through the school year. At the school I was just looking at they post those jobs in late June for fall. Check closely on your colleges website to see when they are posted. The best job seems to me to be in the library so you can study during downtimes. You got a great package. Good luck.
