<p>Some schools off the top of my head that are not need-blind: NYU, WashU, JHU, Reed, F&M. Reed does -try- to be need-blind but had to change 100 admits last cycle from FA to full-pay.</p>
<p>Re: ED, I have heard that even if “demonstrated need” is met, if the package is not affordable, the student may ethically decline. However, the student may not receive any better packages in the RD round, and that ED school is declined forever. You cannot compare packages. Some aid packages may include private loans administered by the school, in addition to federal student loans. The ambiguous wording does lead to people being scared to apply ED.</p>
