Need quotations for yearbook ad

For my D’s yearbook ad this year we used:

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world” Gandhi

Dave Barry:
“Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.”

Another good one, but it won’t work for the yearbook:
“Thought for the day: Men are like fine wine. They start out as grapes, and it’s up to the women to stomp the crap out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.”

Patsmom:
I used the Emerson quote as the serious one for my D. I also wrote a short few lines, similar to those described above…really they were simply adjectives that specifically described her personality and interests. The “memories” kind of words. D loved it.

For S, I used the Homer Simpson quote and the serious one was the often used but great “road less traveled”. Perfectly describes my son’s rather unique approaches to life and its choices.

I think the key is to choose among them only those that truly reflect his/her soul, from your point of view.

driver - That Dave Barry quote is a hoot! Sending it to my d…lol!

“Everybody wanna be a bodybuilder, but noone wanna liff no heavy ass weight”
-Mohandas Gandhi
