Need some advice!

If youcan honestly make that statement, then, go with Cornell. There are plenty of “little ivies”, including most of NESCAC (except for Amherst and Williams) that have EDII programs designed with that scenario in mind.

As for Questbridge or UVA, I’m assuming this is a problem because you think a Questbridge choice is binding? I don’t know the answer to that. I do know that if you are in a position to get a sure shot at a NESCAC college (or, Swarthmore or Haverford) and the only thing hanging you up is whether it stacks up well against UVA (whew, that’s a long supposition) then, my answer is that it shouldn’t be a problem. UVA has some interesting connections on Capitol Hill (because so many congressmen are awarded masters degrees and certificates of this n’that from it) but, nothing that I would throw a fellow NESCAC college under the bus for. How about getting out of Virginia for four years? At extremely favorable fin/aid rates? Does that have any appeal to you?

Yes! I honestly do not like UVa. I did not work my back off to go to a school which most of my classmates who have been much much more chill than me can get into at ease. I also do not like Virginia. I really want to go to New England region. To Wesleyan, Amherst, Middlebury, Chicago, or the best of all Cornell. My SAT’s are a big problem, but hopefully I can survive them. To be honest I detest UVa. I just wish I had better SAT’s.
