Honors - at any school - depends on the student as all the Honors Colleges are different. Look at what is offered - from living acomodations to required course to extra enrichment. Does it interest them?
My kids, for example, applied at some but not others. So it’s really dependent on your student vs. a generic statement.
And at some schools, kids join them simply for early class registration, and then never finish.
So it’s really something they’d have to evaluate on each. What I loved about U of A - is if it hasn’t changed in 5 years - there’s a cafeteria on the bottom floor and a gym and counseling center adjacent.
I bet there are student ambassadors at each who are CS majors - and perhaps admissions or the Honors College can set up a meet n greet on line or in person if you go.
