Neighborhoods in Austin, TX?

I’m curious about the condos you’re talking about. Can you give names? I know the Oak Hill area well … PM me if you want.

Yes, gentrifying as others have explained. As “progressive” a town as Austin is, there’s still quite a bit of racial divide. I-35 splits the city. It’s largely Anglo to the west and largely minority to the east. Gentrification is pushing eastward, so that the minority neighborhoods are shrinking as the condos are built east of I-35 and new, hip restaurants and bars also push eastward. It makes me a little sad, personally.

Mueller is not part of the gentrification since it took over empty airport land. We live east of I35 between I35 and Mueller and have for 30 years. Nice neighborhood if you want Tarrytown houses without Tarrytown prices. Shhhh.

^ Yea, I was thinking of the broader Mueller area rather than just the Mueller property itself. I like that area and almost bought a house over there about 20 years ago.
