<p>I got S a Toshiba notebook – I thought it worked fine but he said it’s slow. Maybe he’s trying to do things with it that it just wasn’t meant to do…but I also got him the upgrade to Windows 7. </p>
<p>I have not had good luck with Dell at all. Never tried HP.</p>
<p>I bought an HP mini–used it upstairs when the kids were hogging the family computer. I could surf the internet, answer email, etc. Once I got my iPad, though–I haven’t used the HP much at all. iPad is definitely my choice for web content. </p>
<p>I just recently had to do a complete reboot on my HP. It got hung up on something when I tried to restart it. I have also had battery trouble with my HP Mini. Had to buy a new battery–the old one bulged suspiciously, like a pair of underwear that may or may not contain a certain Congressman’s data package…</p>

<p>This drives me crazy. I need to learn to stay away from the computer during those hours.</p>
<p>Countingdown - I’ve never had a problem with my Acer Aspire One loading pages except when there’s high volume on the internet. I would call Acer. Have you tried clearing out your cache? Sometimes that will help.</p>
