<p>Nope, they aren’t. Pharmacy kids must do one co-op in retail (aka CVS) and one in hospital (aka Mass Gen). It’s a pretty structured system, although I presume there is some variance within the jobs (like some might be more research while others just count pills or something). </p>
<p>And since pharmacists usually require the specific things learned while in the pharm program… I doubt normal science majors could go for pharm co-ops, although I’m sure they could try for research ones that happen to use drugs pharmacy students would be studying.</p>
