<p>For at least one of ours, we were instructed to have our son bring a sleeping bag, so I’m guessing it’s the floor. But he’s cranky in the morning no matter what he sleeps on.</p>
<p>S and H have gone to visit two schools, where he was accepted, hotels, gas, etc. for two nights, but I have the whole house to myself! </p>
<p>I took an Olympia typewriter to Syracuse University! I think my parents paid about $4500.00 a year for SU. We did those stupid key punch cards & ran them through the computer system, then picked up our print out in these wooden bins in this old building. That seems so archaic now! Only real RICH kids had their own personal phones in their dorm rooms! LOL, what a different world that was.</p>
<p>My S has done 2 overnights. One school had inflatable mats. The other school did not, but often there are spare couches. The yoga mat is a good idea.</p>

<p>That is really not enough info. Is that weighted, or unweighted? Take any AP or honor classes? Have you taken all required prep classes for college? What are your SAT/ACT scores? </p>
<p>Without that info: I think you could look into: George Mason, Roanoke, Lynchberg, Longwood, VA Commonwealth, Bridgewater, Radford, Randolph Macon, Old Dominion
(I am not familiar with all of these)</p>
<p>Reasonable reach schools MIGHT be: James Madison and U of Mary Washington (depends on the questions above)</p>
<p>Maybe your high school guidance counselor could help to get you started too.</p>

<p>RTR: if it makes you feel any better, we know people who qualify for financial aid, already attend Miami, and they were notified this week that they, too, received ZERO for next year…I didn’t even realize that UM was on your list…</p>

It was one of those “easy to apply” moments (took common app, he had a friend who wanted to go there, and is, in fact, going to go there). He only applied to two private schools, but I really don’t know what we were thinking. He has never seen either school and we have no plans to visit.</p>

<p>hisess - after you visit Rollins, Stetson and Eckerd - would you please post a bit about them. I am considering Eckerd for my son and we do have students at my school who apply to Rollins and Eckerd each year - but I really don’t know much about them. I know Eckerd is in CTCL - so I am really curious to hear what you think.</p>
