<p>I wouldn’t pat those Tar Heels on the back. They have let Anoop go into the bottom 3 on more than one occasion - they need to step it up.</p>
<p>OK, Scott is gone, about time. Who else was in the bottom 3? I never watch the results show on any of these types of shows until the last one. I dislike all the faux drama. And we know that the judges decided at the beginning who they would save if they got eliminated. The sing for survival is such an unnecessary humiliation.</p>
<p>Besides his weak voice, Scott’s biggest problem is that he doesn’t understand he needs to improve. He frequently argued with the judges assessments. </p>
<p>Anyone else think they would have saved Lil? She started off so strong. She hasn’t seemed to find her “voice” yet. I have hopes for her yet. </p>
<p>Kelly Pickler—I made my spouse tune back in to watch her. Big Mistake–YIKES!!! I recently heard she’s hanging out in Hollywood, etc. She needs to get back to focusing on her career if she wants to actually have one.</p>
<p>I couldn’t believe they even considered saving Scott. It would have been nothing but a sympathy vote from Kara & Paula. He is a really nice guy, but he is just not at the same level as the other contestants. I’m glad Simon didn’t give in because they need to save the save for Kris, Matt & Alison.</p>

<p>The theme is “Idols at the Movies” so I assume it’s movie soundtracks. Quentin Tarantino is the mentor for the week.</p>

<p>(side note: got tickets this morning for a David Cook concert!!! He will be performing at a CC in our town -who would have ever guessed?- in May! D is a big fan as am I - the college had only 600 tickets to sell this morning - a 900 seat venue, and they limited tickets to two per purchase. I got two and D got two! Exciting because I had decided that if I could manage to buy two I would give them to her so she and a friend could go…now that we have 4 she said, “you are SO going with us Mom!” WooHoo! I’m really excited!)</p>
<p>Will we hear “Son of a Preacher Man” form Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction”? I guess the choices are limited since the guys will not likely choose it.</p>

<p>abasket - Congratulations on the David Cook tickets. We were able to go to two tapings of Idol last season and he was great both times. The venue you are going to sounds great. I would love to see him again, but would like the venue to be small like the one you are going to.</p>

<p>So I read earlier this week that Scott announced that the other physical challenge he’s had in his life was a kidney transplant. Even if he’s not the same caliber singer as some of the remaining contestants, you have to give him credit for courage.</p>
<p>laxmom - bite your tongue - please, no “Footloose” or “Grease.” I think Lil would be great for “Goldfinger.” I could see Adam doing “If You Leave” from Pretty in Pink. Maybe a little “Moon River” from Breakfast at Tiffany’s or “The Crying Game.” I think he’s due for an uptempo though.</p>
