<p>New Distribution Requirements: </p>

<p>Following a sixteen month fullscale study on Yale College education, the faculty has voted to implement new distribution requirements for the Bachelor’s Degree. Starting with the Class of 2009, students must take: </p>

<p>• no fewer than two courses in the Humanities and Arts </p>

<p>• no fewer than two courses in the Social Sciences </p>

<p>• no fewer than two courses in the Natural Sciences </p>

<p>•two courses in any department that give attention to the development of writing skills </p>

<p>•two courses in any field that strengthen skills in quantitative reasoning and analysis</p>

<p>In addition, students must attain competence in a foreign language at the intermediate level, or, if they have already reached it, build their skills further.</p>
