I had emailed the admissions office about it and they referred me to the help desk. I called the help desk and they said we are not able to access VIP. (you need VIP, which is different than the VIP ID for self service carolina, to reset your password to access the email account, according to the faq page of the email site: [Student E-Mail: University of South Carolina](<a href=“Sign in to your account”>Sign in to your account) )

So then i re-emailed admissions and they didn’t know how to answer my questions, they were just as confused as i was. They also confirmed that the class of 2017 is in fact not able to access VIP. (again, weird considering you ‘need’ it to access the email) So i requested my preferred email to be my regular email. The admissions office was trying to be helpful and the woman helping me put in a request to change my email but that has not happened yet, the request was made 2 weeks ago.

hopefully the whole email situation is not just affecting us.

Is financial aid info really being sent to your usc email? How do you check?
