^That really sucks.

Currently, we receive our financial aid notices via VIP. (I really do not have any kind words to say to the brilliant people who decided to get rid of VIP.) As I recall, when I was a rising freshman, all of our notices came through either VIP or our student email.

The thing is, none of us have been moved onto the current system. I work in one of the departments on campus and they haven’t started using the new system. They don’t know how they’re going to adjust to it. From what I heard, it sounds like they won’t even be making a switch until the summer. At this point in time, they do not know anything about the new system or how to use it. They are not at all happy with the change.

The problem that you are likely running into is the fact that literally NO ONE at the university currently uses the new system. They don’t know how to use it, because they’ve never had to use it before.

We had a discussion about the switch in one of my classes a couple of weeks ago and absolutely no one in there supported the change. VIP works extremely well and presents almost no problems for current students, faculty, and staff.

So with all of that being said, likely the people that you’re talking to know just about as much about the system as you. You might be in an even better position because you aren’t familiar with the old system.

It’s a terrible position to be put in, but I think you’ll probably need to pester as many people as possible until you can finally gain access.
