If you knew anything about Ron Paul, you would know that he is in favor of stem cell research using tissue from umbilical cords and miscarried fetal tissue, just not from aborted babies. He has stated that there is enough tissue available for stem cell research without using tissue from aborted babies. He is very in favor of stem cell research if done ethically.

And you are quite twisting things to imply that shooting people is ok. He is not in favor of shooting people, good heavens what a ridiculous statement!

He is in favor of Americans having the right to defend themselves, plain and simple.

btw, since I assume you support Hillary or Obama or Edwards, how can you think that shooting people in a WAR is ok???

Ron Paul, unlike the Democrat candidates except Kucinich & Gravel, wants to END the WAR. This means END THE SHOOTING OF PEOPLE, both American and Iraqi.

So I’d say he is quite against shooting people.

Unless you are for Kucinich or Gravel, your candidate is much more in favor of violence than Ron Paul is.

I invite you to get educated by actually listening to the candidates talk and read their works, rather than making assumptions based on the very brief descriptions of bills they supported. Those descriptions do not take into account all the parameters of the bill. Often, the members of congress vote against bills because of certain tricky passages that someone snuck in. There is no way you can understand all the ramifications of a bill by its brief description on that site.

Regarding the environment, I have repeatedly stated that this is the one major issue I am not in agreement with Ron Paul on. The environment is a major issue to me; I was and am a Gore supporter. However, civil liberties and peace on earth both take precedence over the environment. Think of it this way: Nuclear war is bad for the planet, not to mention humans and other living things. We must first end the war. Then make friends with the rest of the planet and work TOGETHER to clean up the environment. How will we work with the rest of the nations if they all hate us? And when we go around invading other countries and become the new bully, they hate us. And that’s what ALL the other candidates (again, with the exception of Kucinich & Gravel) want to do, since they are all in favor of starting a war with Iran (to varying degrees; none of them, to my knowledge, except for Paul & Kucinich & Gravel, have spoken out against it).

To be blunt: Cleaning up the environment and slowing down global warming becomes a moot point if the warmongers start WWIII. Therefore, vote for the only viable candidate who would avoid that war: Ron Paul.
