<p>I have some friends involved in this process, and while they haven’t given me much information, it seems that the procedure will be shifting to an online entry for a lottery with tickets being printed by the student and scanned at the gate. This will enable students to get tickets without having to stand in the lines to turn in the coupons each week before the games. Of course, this could change as the process is finalized, but that is my understanding of how it stands now.</p>
<p>I’m not sure how I feel about this yet. While the convenience is always nice, I think it will make it easier for the “social fan” (that is, students who come out to the game for the tailgates and all, roll into Doak sometime after kickoff, and then leaves a quarter or two early because it’s too hot) to get tickets if it’s as easy as pressing a button online. I guess we’ll see once the whole process is released.</p>
