New Policy for Student Football Tix

The ticket office has finally published some updated information. It is a bit disappointing that they are waiting until the last minute to give any updates or finalize the procedure.

The general idea is that coupon vouchers will no longer be distributed; instead, there will be a lottery which students enter online the week prior to each home game. The lottery will be weighted such that upperclassmen have priority (seniors get 4 entries, juniors 3, sophomores 2, freshman 1), and members of student boosters will get 2 extra entries.

Also, tickets will be printed with student’s names and must be presented along with a valid FSUID at the gates at Doak for entry. There will be an option to transfer a ticket, with a $2 fee - the name printed must match the ID of the student who is using the ticket. This was done to prevent non-students or recent graduates from using student tickets.

They are introducing a print at home option (for a $2 “convenience” fee), or you may still pick up your ticket from the Howser ticket office. I have also been told that the blocks will still exist, though the lottery will be done on an individual basis. So if you win a ticket, you will be seated with your block.

Complete information is available at [Florida State University Official Athletic Site](http://seminoles.cstv.com/tickets/fsu-football-student-info.html) and, as noted, an e-mail will be sent to students the week of August 18 with complete, finalized information.
