New Slippers

Thanks for all the ideas. Don’t like the Keen Howser because the opening at the top is pretty tight…don’t want to wrestle my slippers. Treid on some Acorn booties but they seemed so squishy. Another style might be better. I guess since I’ve been wearing the Keens for awhile, I’m used to a more sturdy sole.

Tried on the Sorel Nakiska at REI tonight…liked them pretty well. The suede/sheepskin version was $65 at REI. I saw the same style on Sierra Trading Post only it was a sweater knit instead of the sheepskin and was about half the price. I’m a dedicated STP shopper.
Saw the Haflingers and read all the great reviews. Will have to go back and see where I found them. I’ve also been shopping 6pm.com Their prices are pretty competitive too. Any more ideas/opinons are welcomed.

Haflingers are great and they last several years. Make sure you try them on because some styles have better arch support than others.

I was looking for slippers that are cozy and comfy but also offer a fairly substantial sole and some arch support. I ordered these in black and love them:

After many hours of internet shopping, I settled on the Sorel Nakiska [SOREL Women’s Nakiska Slide Slipper - Dick’s Sporting Goods](http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4480858&cp=4406646.4413987.4417990).

Thanks for all the advice. Can’t wait to get my new slippers.

I don’t wear slippers but those Sorels look pretty sweet to me.

PackMom - They look great, and a reasonable price! Let us know how you like them. :)

PackMom, I’m wearing those Sorels right now. I really do love them. When I replaced my first pair (after about 3 years of daily use), I bought 2 more pair…on sale at the end of the season.

PackMom, just got an email for 40% of STP so your post was on my mind. These shoes are not officially slippers and are very different that what you bought. Still thought you might like them http://www.sierratradingpost.com/patagonia-advocate-slip-on-travel-shoes-ultralight-for-women~p~3860a/reviews/?filterString=s~travel%2F#reviewsTab

LL Bean moc. They are heavenly and with the bottom, I am able to run outside for a bit.

packmom, I just got those same Sorel slippers from my BF for christmas. They are great! How are you liking yours?

Somebody may have already mentioned this, I didn’t read every post but Orthaheel makes great, very supportive slippers. You can go to their website or to footsmart, not too many retail outlets. They have great arch support!!

Hoping Packmom likes her Sorel slippers as much as I like mine!
