<p>You are allowed 2 and 1/6 units per semester. So if you take 3 and 3 classes then you can take 1/6 credit extra. This is equivalent to 2 PE classes, or 1/2 of a regular class. As it was this year and the last two, you would be charged ~350 for your first overload and 750 for each additional one. Someone told my friend that you can take as many PE classes as you want but I am not sure on this.
A possible reason is my friend said there is a lot of Chineses students who finish school in two years. I do not know if this is the reason or they want less work on their faculty or what. A lot of students are p/o because they pulled this in D term and we sign up for classes April 1,2,3. As far as I know, SGA did not even have any advanced warning of this.</p>
<p>If this happens, I believe many people who would overload will switch to taking Grad classes for the same price.</p>
