Someone said “strange we all consider ourselves the lucky ones that get a break”. And why not ?

Miracles happen to those who beleive in them, right ? The miracle I am praying for is that all the kids who are in this CC Princeton forum (how many, 100 ?) will get into Princeton. Dont they say fact is stranger than fiction ?

— A Mom

what a cute little why to amuse ourselves before d’day :D

We’ve been having a lot of those little amusement/distraction/torture devices lately… ahh I think I’m gonna go browse around PUstore.com for a bit… :p

Thanks Sugee…from another Mom.

You know, not everyone can be a “lucky kid who got a break”…

no, but everyone on CC thats applying to pton ED can

haha, a 100% acceptance. Sounds good to me!

Really, though, I think we’ve got a lot of people on that list with good chances. I would be surprised if the acceptance rate isn’t above average, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see a 40+% rate from the CC group applying this year.

Speaking of torture, I know of a kid who was invited to a Princeton alum gathering on the 20th of Dec. by his interviewer. How twisted would that be to be def or rejected prior to the meeting?

The CC acceptance rate WILL be above 40%. There is NO WAY that this slim pool is at all representative of the overall pool, which although strong is probably nothing compared to this place. The only “wild card” type of thing is the number of internationals on here…they tend to be accepted at a lower rate.

Keep in mind the mass Yale rejection of last year. Although I think their acceptance rate was still above the average, it was by no means 2-3 times as great.

Yes…but that was Yale, which accepted EA at the astronomical rate of 16%. Princeton ED accepts about 30% each year, so our 40% guess isn’t that far out of range. It’s actually quite conservative.

Please don’t remind me of the Yale massacre… cries

Had I applied early to Princeton:

Athletes 5% (I met with the track coach and I have a chance of traying out and making it depending on how this spring goes)
