NYU actually should hire you rather than admitting you as a freshman undergraduate.
Sometimes are really wonder if there’s place for ordinary hard working high school students on top American schools. I study at a pretty competitive school in a very affluent neighborhood. Not one kid is my class has ECs like this.

Your SAT score did not help. For Stern ED1, NYU needs at least 1530, might be even 1540 this year. That’s based on my reading of this board last four academic cycles. Each year NYU raises its SAT standard gradually. It used to be 1500, then 1510, 1520,

rejected from stern, test-optional 4.3 weighted. housing portal showed “no applications” up until the rejection letter so proof astrology isn’t accurate lmao

Rejected here too, brother. A lot of similar schools out there. Show NYU what they missed out on by working hard at another competitive school.

Anyone have any idea of the acceptance rate for Gallatin this year? I’m guessing around 20% for ED2 and 40% for ED1, considering strong fits will likely apply early.
My stats:
GPA: 3.88 UW. Due to unique grading system at my school, my college counselor said this may be recalculated to a 3.7.
SAT: 1500(770RW, 730M)
Rank: Top 7% at competitive public school.
Coursework: 11 APs
ECs: Was heavily involved at school. Did an internship. Started a small local initiative for tutoring children ages 5-11. Lots of volunteering. Some state level awards. I did not have a central area where I centered my ECs around.
Financial aid: applied, but likely full pay.
Application plan: ED2
Lmk if you’re also applying Gallatin for the ED cycle!
