If you’re worried for RD or disappointed in your REA results, this isn’t going to calm your nerves but at least you’ll have more information.
70% of RSI attendees were rejected from Stanford REA, so the head of RSI asked Stanford admissions what happened. Stanford responded by saying they regret to reject so many qualified STEM applicants, but they increased recruitment for first-gen instead and had to take fewer STEM majors.

From here is follows that first-gen are not STEM majors… Statistically speaking.

Statistics have nothing to do with it. If that is what they said, they worded their statement poorly.
