Are we really back to dim sum? :-S
I had a moment of hypocrisy last year when we went to the movies on Christmas Day, and I was outraged that the parking lot in front of the theater was charging for parking that day.
I’m hungry for Chinese food now, thanks everyone. And the only place in my town is AWFUL.
Meanwhile, I find it amusing that some buildings on D’s new campus have tripadvisor attraction reviews. Apparently some people DO tour the campus just because it’s pretty, or has a couple of cool museums and was home to a famous poet or two.
Ok, in an attempt to bring this back on topic, we’ll be sure to have so e awesome dim sum in Boston when we go tomorrow. Though my kid is not really interested, I’ll be sure to take pictures of random student when we walk through the H campus on our way back from Tufts!!
Where can I capture the best pics of Havardians “in the wild”?
@HRSMom classes for undergrads don’t start at Harvard until September 2. You probably won’t find too many hanging around tomorrow.
Oh no! I’ll just have to live without the pics of other people’s kids at H!
Surely there are some summer students around you can stalk?
My younger son who loves to annoy his older brother…I’ll get him a Harvard shirt…he always says Harvard is going to be his safety school…i’ll take his pic if I can’t find any!
Move in day is Saturday the 29th. There are lots of kids around campus now taking advantage of summer programs etc.
“But not many people sit with coffee and read the Chicago Tribune in other cities on Sunday mornings”
You’re right! They don’t! The Chicago Tribune is a local paper. The NYTimes is a national paper.
“As to your whole pretense that the middle could buy and sell the rest of us–well, facts don’t prove that out, the 8 wealthiest people in the US, except for two–the affable Warren Buffett and the nauseating Charles Koch, the remainder live on either coast”
I think we need to work on reading comprehension here. Did I SAY the middle could buy and sell the rest of us? No. I never said that. I said, however, that there are some people in “flyover country” who could indeed buy and sell the rest of us. This is surprising and shocking to people who aren’t well traveled, and yawn-worthy to people who are.
