<p>chancellor gee has many a time noted his complete disdain for the ranking systems. vandy has many a time expressed heavy focus on continuing to improve undergraduate life from an already amazing experience to an ever better experience as opposed to funneling those resources into research (well…more research, let’s not forget it is a premier research institution as well) and the manipulation of acceptance rates (<em>cough</em> don’t even need to say it <em>cough</em>) (= higher rankings)…hence the multi-million dollar freshman commons project. actions speak louder than words. rankings are nearly irrelevant to vanderbilt.</p>
