(preaching/rant on)

Let me first say that it is appalling to me that someone claiming to be an NHS member can’t even get three hours of service-especially when others, including myself, are required to have thirty and in actuality achieve many more. It’s really not that hard - and if you were truly in NHS for its purpose - to serve others and the community - it should require no effort at all.

Anyways, from what my advisor has told me, obviously if someone is 5-thirty hours short they’re going to get cut. If they were closer, maybe not.
But, in your situation, since the requirement is relatively low, so too will be the margin of acceptable slacking, IMO.
