No calculus before graduation

We allowed out first to accelerate when he tested into Algebra, but did not allow the next two to do so. I just did not see the benefit at all. The algebra I in the high school was a much better taught and stronger class than Algebra I in the middle school in our system.

<p>That seems odd, given that the accelerated 8th graders are generally stronger students in math and should therefore be easier to teach at the desired level (or even at what would be considered an honors level) compared to normal level 9th graders.</p>
