I’m trying the SAT chem practice tests and failing hard, so I think I’ll do the same and not take it as well. I wish we could take them sometime in the fall again, because I hate having to wait a whole year. Oh well, I don’t want to hurt my chances.

^You can take them in the fall, SAT testing starts in Oct. This is the 2011/12 schedule, but fall of 2012 will be similar:

Studious, not taking will not be a problem with your CB account. For what to do to either reschedule or just not sit the tests:

Oh, I didn’t know that! My guidance counselor told me they’re always in June.
Do you know if the same schools with offer the tests?

June is the last sitting for the school year, then they start up for the next school year in Oct.

There sometimes is variation in which test dates a HS will administer. I think you should be able to find out about your HS here:

All right. I got a 660 on my recent practice test, but that was from years ago as well. And that puts me slightly above 50% percentile, so I’ll study over the summer and go for it in October. Thanks so much!

Thanks guys! I really appreciate all the advice! Super relaxed, and I think I’ll spend time studying for the actual SAT and perhaps the ACT this summer. :)

@FromNorCal: I feel ya… If there were some dates during the summer. :/

You’re welcome, best of luck to both of you!

Breaking news about a summer SAT (not Subject tests though) on the Parents forum.

Thumbs down to the CB for finding another way to make money and give a further testing advantage to the haves of this world.

Sorry one question.
Do I just not show up on the day of the test (tomorrow)?

Yeah I honestly despise CB because they are really just an example of monopoly. They say they are a “Not for profit” but I call BS.

See the second link in post #22. At this point you can’t call to reschedule, so you just don’t show up tomorrow.

Thank you so much Entomom!
I knew I read it somewhere…I just had to scroll up, haha.

Posters like you make this forum great :)

And members like you make many like me stick around. I learned so much from CC, and it feels good to pass it on to each year’s new applicants.

So much of successful college admissions process starts earlier in HS with things like testing. Understanding how things work and having a plan make all the difference!

Thank you so much once again! :)
