No I am not domestic

I would love to see pictures of some of these projects…it would be great inspiration. I remember back in the day watching Martha Stewart (the old format) and although some of her projects were over the top she inspired many wonderful ideas.

My grandmother taught me to knit M-A-N-Y years ago. I recently took it up again and am working on a sweater. I learned to sew in Home Ec class in 7th grade – back in the day when girls went to Home Ec (1/2 year cooking; 1/2 year sewing) while boys went the Shop. (I really wanted to take Shop, but …) In the past I’ve sewn clothes, but not so much anymore. I made Halloween costumes for both D & S when they were young, but, again, not anymore. I still do basic window treatments.

I’ve also made a bunch of jewelry at the family camp we go to every summer. This summer I learned to make Russian Netted Bracelets like this:

Several years ago I made a silver bracelet like this:

Since the camp only charges cost for the materials, the things I make end up being quite inexpensive. It’s fun – I look forward to getting to the Craft Shop every year when we go back to camp.

Emeraldkity - what type of place was it that you took the workshop? That sounds exactly like what I need!!! The only similar thing I can think of that we have is a glass blowing studio - not the same…
