No PSAT scores yet? Commiserate here!

I am having the same problem with SATs not PSATS. Collegeboard aren’t replying to emails. I took the test in early December. Is it easier to get through to them on twitter?

@rasberyl Looks like it. Twitter or Call and wait for 30+ minutes

The website is back up, and there’s a weather alert. Would someone please explain why closing certain centers and re-directing people to a different test site is going to help when the forecast is for a blizzard in the whole multi-state region? If we’re snowed in where we live, then driving even farther to a neighboring town is not going to solve the problem.

@rasberyl If you have the time to sit on hold for 30-60 minutes someone will eventually pick up the phone.

I’ve sent Twitter DM’s a couple times and someone usually replies to those within a day.

I’ve emailed them too but no one ever replies to my emails.

In case anyone was wondering, we still have no scores.

Called the CB yesterday (fifth time ???) since it had been 8 business days since I escalated the no score issue. Good news! CB now knows why my D’s scores do not show online, they are “delayed.” I asked why they were delayed and when will they be released. They said they will need to open another escalation case to determine why they are delayed, that will be another 5 to 7 days.

I give up, CB wins. They lack honesty, transparency and ethics and we are at their mercy.

And in the meantime, my D has received emails from 25 colleges and 4 summer programs to the email address she created new and only used for the PSAT. Many of the emails reference her accomplishments and one even calls her “a good test-taker.” How do they know about her accomplishment and test taking skills unless the CB peaased along her scores or at least what scoring band she fell in.

How can the CB ethically provide their subscribers with names, contact info and test performance without making every available effort to provide scores to the test taker?

And why are my D’s scores delayed? Is there a there a potential problem with the grading, do they think she cheated? How can the CB sell testing information to their subscribers that is so flawed they cannot release it to test taker themselves?

@CaucAsianDad Your experience sounds a lot like mine. No one has ever called me back by the way. The last correspondence I had with the CB was on Tuesday when they told me again that my son’s scores were delayed, but they don’t have the specifics of his delay.

Thank you @mamma1st and @payn4ward

I got an email back from them today saying that they’ve opened an escalation case. I’ve emailed the colleges I’ve applied to telling them of my dilemma. Hopefully it doesn’t impact my college decisions too much. It also now means I have to send my SAT I and SAT II scores separately which will cost me double.

Does anyone know what the escalation team does?

Wish we knew… sit around and complain about the case load?

In what other business would all of you not been offered a refund?

Mass angst at my D’s school yesterday when she and her class mates got the CB emailing saying “Congratulations on taking the PSAT/NMSQT” and encouraging them to take the March 5 SAT. Hundreds of kids without test results, hoping the email was a PSAT update, instead they got a sales pitch. CB can get marketing material to them about the SAT, but not a single email concerning the PSAT delay. No “Sorry we are running late” no explanation of the delay and no assurance that they will ever get anything other than a paper report.

The CB email would have gotten a better reception if they had just sent a picture of dead puppies.

Thanks @CaucAsianDad, you made me laugh out loud!

Here’s a letter that a private school sent out yesterday:

“And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed – if all records told the same tale – then the lie passed into history and became truth.”

I just called CB again. The good news is I was only on hold for 3 minutes before someone answered the phone. That’s a huge change from the last 2 weeks when I sat on hold for 30-60 minutes.

The lady I spoke with was no help. I said my case was escalated on January 11 and no one has ever called me back. She said I need to wait another week, they’re doing everything they can to figure out the problem. If I don’t have his scores in a week, call back. I said, so no one from the IT Department will actually ever be calling me back? OMG.

My son is taking the ACT on Feb 6. I wish we would know his scores before he sits for the March 5 SAT because if his ACT scores are good enough I would say to hell with the SAT and the CB and be done with them.

You should probably say that now regardless. March, May, and June SAT scores imho will not be much of use because of their novelty.

I sent a Twitter DM to CB again today too because that’s the only time I seem to get information out of them.

I asked if there was a time frame for when I would finally get my son’s scores.

They replied that unfortunately time frames vary depending on the reason for the delay.

Gee, thanks. They still won’t give me any details about the delay.

Finally got my daughters scores yesterday without any callback or email from CB. I have been logging in a few times a day and yesterday it showed up! My issue was escalated about 8 days ago. I hope everyone else’s show up soon!!
