No PSAT scores yet? Commiserate here!

My son’s counselor sent me an email this morning just checking in to make sure I had been able to access his scores on Saturday. She said the CB held up all 10th & 11th-grade scores at his school because they had a question about one student’s testing environment.

@Sinjection my kids haven’t received their paper copies yet. Our school told us a few weeks ago that they CB told them it would be the 1st or 2nd week of February before they got them.

Still no scores in any form! I called College Board again today, and finally got through. First, she asked for an escalation number, which I had never been given. After a search, she told me D’s scores are still not available and all she can do is “put in another escalation.” She couldn’t tell me when they might be available, or whether D’s scores would be available in time to be entered into the NM scholarship competition, and also would not discuss giving a refund.

Update: I screamed and yelled and demanded a manager. Voila, we have scores!

Did they ever give you an explanation? @TheGFG

This reminds me my former colleague who had recently come from Russia. After a visit to DMV (or social security admin office, or bank) he said “I did not know how much America is like Russia; you have to make a fist, slam the desk and yell to get things done.”

Have any homeschoolers gotten their results?

We were eventually able to get results on line but haven’t gotten the paper scores that were promised yet.

@3scoutsmom .Your homeschooler got their scores online? I was told I would receive them by snail mail only.

Yes! Does your child have a College Board Account? If not you need to make one. We had some difficulty getting it to accept Home School as the school choice one child ended up with HOME-SCHOOL-TEXAS as his school and the other with something slightly different.

Yes, she has a College Board account but could not access it. It did not take HOME SCHOOL as school. Ok, I will enter HOME-SCHOOL-MASSACHUSETTS. Much Appreciation!

We are asked for a PSAT access code. We do not have one nor do we know what that is? @3scoutsmom

No, no explanation was given.

Homeschoolzmom, it’s unlikely your access code would work anyway, since the ones we got from our guidance counselors didn’t!

@TheGFG You were more than patient. Glad you finally got them.

I am a homeschool mom. I was told in January that I would have to wait for the paper score to arrive. We still have not received that paper score, so I called college board today. I was on hold for about 15 minutes. The representative I spoke with was able to merge my daughter’s score with he CB account in less than two minutes. We finally have scores!!!

Did they happen to mention when/if they were sending paper scores to homeschoolers?

No, I did not ask. I figured I was going to ask to speak to a supervisor if I was still unable to see my daughter’s scores. There is no reason kids should not have their scores online by now.

@BlessedMom3 @3scoutsmom. Good news, I called today and we got scores. So pleased!! I printed the scores out. Still no paper scores.

FWIW, Paper scores were mailed to my home today from school. (We’ve had the online scores since day 1).

@suzyQ7 – was there anything new on the paper report? Are you in DC?

Nothing new, it’s the same report from online, just printed! We are in New England, but my son is a day student at a boarding school so the cutoff will be whatever the highest cutoff is (NJ, DC). He’s sitting on a 221 which probably won’t make it.
