No Scholarship Notification - Getting Concerned

I think someone found out last year that the scholarship committee only meets on Fridays. This can make the process much longer. Additionally, people can be considered for scholarships as long as they submit before Jan. 15 (that’s what it used to be at least) so it could take a while for the committee to sort through ALL the eligible scholarship applications.

Additionally: while your scores and stats seem, to us, to be scholarship definitive, you also want to consider the other factors: ethnicity, IS vs OOS, major, etc. I think we somewhat determined that there is a maximum number of scholarship types that Pitt gives to each state, so even if you’re a stand-out, if other stand-out people from your state applied before you, it does make it harder for you to get one.
