<p>You can also apply for a Vice Presidential nomination, but I think the deadline for that has passed. If one of your parents is career military or active duty military, you can apply for a Presidential nomination. I think you can get a Presidential nomination if you yourself are in the military. You can also get a nom from an ROTC unit you’re part of (and I think a nomination from your CO if you’re on active duty). If one of your parents happens to be a Medal of Honor recipient (not likely!) you automatically receive admission to the Service Academies as long as you are academically, medically and physically qualified. There might be other nomination sources but I can’t think of any off the top of my head.</p>
