Brandeis is a little higher but close to Northeastern’s, which rise every year. Northeastern should also now be considered a top MA college, in my opinion, and should be added to this list since it already meets or beats Babson and Holy Cross: [SAT Scores for Top Massachusetts Colleges - Compare SAT Scores for 12 Top Massachusetts Colleges and Universities](Massachusetts Colleges: SAT Scores for Admission)

Aside from differing stats, Northeastern and Brandeis are very different schools in many ways. Someone who is happy with one may not be happy at the other. You need to decide what environment you want.

I think Northeastern will continue to climb 10-20 points per category per year. As the school has gotten better and climbed in the rankings, it’s starting to get more well known. The #2 up-and-coming university in the entire country catches people’s eye because that says “value” and “improving.” George Mason is the same way, though not in the same league as NU.

The co-op program leads the nation, and it wouldn’t surprise me if other universities start to follow suit in the modern model of what a university is for - prepping you best for the real world.

I’m worried now that my son will have a tougher time getting in three years from now, whereas his sister got accepted into the honors program last year. But the school is getting better and better and that breeds continued improvement, including the ability to attract better professors and further increase its academic rigor.

i was originally considering pharmD but heard that it is very very hard to get into. decided to apply to arts and sciences instead. does that improve my chances much?

You should have no problem. We have surprisingly similar stats and I got in early action and everywhere else I applied, except for Brandeis (I was waitlisted). I got into BC though which I thought would be my reach. My SAT was a 1790 but I had an overall of 32 on the ACTs to make up for it. I’m a middler now and I love it!

oh thank you!!
but the naviance stats for my school seem to indicate that its harder to get in regular decision. darn, shouldve applied earlier, but nothing i can do now i guess
