Hey Guys,

I wanted to see if anyone would be able to tell my chances for transferring to Northeastern.

I currently go to Middlesex C.C. My first semester GPA from this previous fall was a 3.3. This current Spring semester 2012, I have a 3.5. I just sent out my midterm grades and my app was complete 3/30. After this current semester I will have completed 42 credits. During the NEU app process, the web portal said I was still missing H.S. transcripts and SAT scores. I sent them in anyway because I wasn’t completely sure about the 24 credit cut off point. Is it worth calling admissions and asking them to take away H.S. grades and SAT’s? Does it not hurt my chances to just leave them in the app? I’m in the Commonwealth Honors Program in M.A. I have a decent amount of community service. Played sports through out H.S. and have held the same job 4 consecutive years. Other than my fairly avg GPA, my professor that wrote my recommendation said I was one of his best students and said it was a strong rec. I applied though the comm-app, so I did not get to write about what I really like about NEU and why I would be a good fit. I used the “Why transfer” writing prompt. I felt I touched on a lot of benefits to transferring to a 4-year college. I applied to the college of social sciences & humanities for eco. I made sure NEU knew that If I wanted to go to their Law School after my undergrad.

I’m new to college confidential so forgive me for writing to much!
